Performances will take place even if it rains. If an event gets cancelled due to bad weather, tickets can be rebooked free of charge for another performance date (only if there still are seats left for the date of your choice) or you can receive your money back, apart from the Premiere where different rules apply.

Seating arrangement
Our seats are thoughtfully arranged to give every guest an optimal view of the stage. Premium seats are located in the front sections and offer unsurpassed views of the performances.
Stage location
The centerpiece of the event, our stage, is centrally located in front of the Upper Belvedere Palace, as shown in the middle of the seating plan. The innovative stage design integrates the natural beauty and architecture of the Belvedere and creates a scenery that blends perfectly into the majectic, baroque setting.

Discounts

  • Tickets for wheelchair users include a seat for an accompanying person, the effective discount is 50%.
  • People with disabilities receive a 50% discount on ticket (In categories B-D)
  • Pupils, students as well as trainees (in apprenticeship) can receive a 30% discount for ticket categories B, C and D

Subsequent consideration of various discounts (after tickets have been purchased) is not possible. The discounts are valid until further notice and the number of discounted tickets is limited.

The Vienna Opera Summer, in cooperation with the Burghauptmannschaft Österreich, is pleased to partner with the "Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur" initiative (www.hungeraufkunstundkultur.at) to provide holders of the so-called Kulturpass and social organisations with a certain number of free seats for each performance. These tickets are allocated on a "first come, first served" basis and can be purchased in the ticket shop.
