Felix Pacher
After the guard, and parallel to his trumpet studies, Felix Pacher began his teacher training in music and English. Through his music studies, he rediscovered singing and began taking lessons with bass Jongmin Park in 2019, now as a bass. Six months later, he was accepted into the vocal studies program at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. There he first studied with Anton Scharinger and later with Hermine Haselböck.
Early on in his studies, he sang roles such as "Il Commendatore" from "Don Giovanni" and "Colas" from "Bastien und Bastienne" and achieved several placings in competitions, such as first prize in the international "Bruna Spiler Singing Competition" and a place in the final round of the "Otto Edelmann Singing Competition".
In 2022, he once again appeared on the big stage of the Vienna State Opera. Felix Pacher sang the title role in the production of Ludger Vollmer's youth opera "Tschick".
The following year, he won Elīna Garanča's "Zukunftsstimmen" competition and appeared on stage with the Kammersängerin at the "Klassik in den Alpen" and "Klassik unter Sternen" concerts the following summer. In September, he was awarded the ASSITEJ Austria's "Stella 23" for Outstanding Acting Performance for "Tschick". Most recently, he was heard in this year's main production of MDW under the direction of Hartmut Keil and directed by Helen Malkowsky at the Schönbrunn Palace Theater as "Falstaff" in O. Nicolai's "The Merry Wives of Windsor".
He has completed master classes with Rene Pape, Ain Anger, Sir Willard White, Paolo Bordogna, Christof Fischesser and Iain Peterson.
