Alexandre Beuchat
In the 2015/16 season, the singer was a permanent member of the Lucerne Theater ensemble, where he sang the roles of Mr. Gedge in Albert Herring (Britten), Anthony Hope in Sweeney Todd (Sondheim) and Antonio in Il Viaggio A Reims (Rossini).
His solo engagements have taken him to the Vienna State Opera, Theater Basel, Bühnen Bern and the Vienna Volksoper, where he has been a permanent member of the ensemble since 2016. His roles there include Conte Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Marcello in La Boheme (Puccini), Papageno in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) and Danilo in Die Lustige Witwe (Lehar).
In 2017, Alexandre Beuchat was a finalist in the renowned "Neue Stimmen" and "Belvedere Singing Competition". He also won the study and sponsorship prize of the Migros Culture Percentage Competition in 2015 and 2017. At the international Ernst Haefliger Singing Competition in 2014, he won 3rd prize and the scholarship for best Swiss artist.
He performs regularly as a soloist in numerous sacred projects (Bach, Handel, Orff, Brahms, Haydn, etc.), as well as in various lieder recitals (Mahler, Ravel, Schubert, Vaughan Williams, etc.).
